Iran Society of Deaf People Family

In The Name of God

Iran Deaf People Family Society is one of the greatest deaf associations in Iran which has different activities for serving to deaf community.
So for more information, we try to introduce you to it's activities as below:

A)Iran Society of Deaf People Family (ISDPF)'s structure Chart (Central Branch):

1)General Assembly (Central Branch):
GA is consist of all permanent members of society, who are invited from the Directors Board in order to attend in the society ̓s election to appoint the best member till the legal deadline of society's activities.
2)Directros Board:
The members of Directors Board are elected with the eletion and GA member's approval, whose duty is to delivering honorarily serving to the society's deaf members.
The above mentioned services are based on the society's statute and all services are under the supervising the general director board.
3)Inspectors:
According to the society's statute, the inspectors are selected via the GA and they will serve to the society for one  year.
The main dutities of them are permanent Supervising on the board of direcror's activity and society's affairs and also reporting the board of director's actions to the society's members in the Ga.
4)Provinces:
Iran Deaf people Family Society (Central Branch) as the representative for establishing the branches in other provinces, would send a board to the mentioned provinces for establishing the GA and elections.
After inauguration & establishment of the provincial branches, the central branch would supervising the new mentioned branches completely.
5)Cities:
The Cities branches of ISDPF for establishing the new branch, need the support of central Society or the provincial societies.
Of course the provincial societies are obligated to establish the branches in the cities with the cooperation of central branch of ISDPF society.
6)International  Relation Affairs:
As you know according to the great renovation in the science & technology, so the distance between countries are not remarkable.
Nowadays the countries via the update materials such as internets & websites can contact with each other & convey the informations.
Due to the progressive technology, the international affairs are considered as one of the most important part of organizations, ministries & modern companies.
We are pleased to inform you that IDPFS with 36 years of serving to deaf communities, could be successfully approved as the member of Deaf World Federation.
The above mentioned society had began its communications with esteemed federation since 2007.
For your kind information some the news & pictures of society's celebration on the occasion of World Deaf Week had been published in the WDF's newsletter & have been sent for all WDF's members.
So it is a great honor for all Iranian Deafs  specially for IDPFS's members that one part of the last newsletter of 2008 (international News) was allocated to our society's pictures, as the representative of Iran's Deafs community.
The esteemed deafs world federation was grateful & satisfied with our cooperation &  they hope to increase our cooperation for ever.
7)The Public Relation Affairs  Director:
One of the most important affairs of society is related to the public relation affairs, which is scheduling the society's plans for every year & after that they will send the projects to the board of directors for getting the approval, finally they will  execute them according to the regulations.
The director of public relation affairs is one of the member of board, that his/her duty is supervising on all society's programs completely.
8)The Receptionist:
One of the duty of receptionist in ISDPF  is gathering & filing the information  & datas.
To enjoy of all society's facilities, at first deaf people should register & receive their  membership identification card  from the receptionist.
After becoming the member of ISDPF, you can enjoy from all facilities & society's services with the best conditions.
9)The Hearing Secretary (Answering to the phones and queries):
Since all the members of board of society are all deafs, so for esrablishing the communication with the outer environment of society, the hearing secretary who is familiar with sign Language has been selected not only to establish the communication with different center, organizations and NGO, but also to report all the actions to the board of directors in order to cover them with the last information & affairs & on the other hand the board's members are obliged to supervise on the secretary's affairs or works completely.

B)The structural chart of different committees under the supervision of ISDPF are  as below:

1)Youth Committee:
Since the most population of deaf people Consist of Touth deaf, so the society determined to establish the Youth committee.
So the society determined to establish the youth committee. The duty of above mentioned committee is delivering deaf's special services such as establishment of cultural, didactic & Art courses or classes, festivals and publishing of avaye negah magazine which are the most prioririty matters of society's programs.
We dare to inform you that the youth com. is one of the most active committees of society which is trying to deliver diverse sevices to deaf's community with the cooperation of board of direcrors.
2)Sign language Intepeter's Services Committee:
Kindly note that paying attention to the deaf community is one of the most important role of our Islamic community, so we should pay attention to the supporting of deaf people.
Since the Lack of SL interpreter is one of the basic challenges of deaf people, so paying attention to the importance role of interpreter for establishing a suitable communication between deaf & their environment for explanation of matters, establishing the suitable opportunities and obserring their human rights seems to be necessary.
The goal of fulfillment of this project is training of SL to those of people who are interested in eliminating the deafs problems during the communication between deafs & hearing people in different fields of scientific, cultural, consultative & welfare.
3)Avaye Negah Magazine Committee:
The Young stone & half deaf members of above mentioned committee have been joined to the com. voluntarily & they do their best in order to publish all the news about deaf & disabled people from different internal & external resources and also the society's news & activities report will be published in the mentioned magazine which is publishing every 3 or 6 month in the year.
So this committee members who are cooperating with each other honorarily, they try to convey all the recent & update news to their deaf friends so that to increase deaf's info & knowledge level.
4)WebSite Committee:
As you know nowadays with the modernism life & the progress in the technology, the websaites have been become one of the most important informative resources & interchange in the world.
You can receive the information about the subject, organization or a society through the related websaites.
According to that matter, the Iran Deaf People Family Society's websaite is a reference resource for those of people who are far away from society and interested to familiar with ISDPF's activites via the news & reports.
So you can notice of the last & update news or info of deaf community through the avove  mentioned society's web & the society would be grateful to receive your comments & suggestion via the emails.
5)Art Committee:
As you know the art has an old history & antecedent among the Iranian. May be you have heard the famous proverb which says “The Art is with persian”.
Deaf people not only are the same as their hearing friends in the art fields, but also they have taken the lead from the hearing people.
May be the deafs because of their hearing problems can not progress in the sciences but they are so skillful in the art fields.
So the society has used from this opportunity by establishment of art committee which is consist of theater, photoghraphy, filming, song & etc in order to help those of people who are interested in the art fields to progress in their favorite art fields.
6)Rehabilitation & Services Committee:
Since ISDPF society is one of familiarvized deaf center in Iran, in spite of its low financial facilities, it always try to deliver the special rehabilitation services to deaf people with the financial donative contributions.
Supplying ear, trumpet for those of deaf people who can not afford to buy ear, trumpets themselves.
Also establishment of classes for curing the deaf's speedh is the other rehanilitation services of this society.
7)Didactic Committee:
Nowadays the education is one of the most important challenges which all public places are confronted with in different countries.
Due to the hearing problems, deaf people can not enjoy the advanteges of the public didactic classes as well as hearing people.
So the ISDPF determined to eliminate these problems by establishing different didactic classes such as the literacy training courses for those who have been hindered from learing of literary, computer courses from elementary to adavanced, engelish learing courses and also SL training courses for hearing persons in order to train yhem as an intapreter, as it had been mentioned in the interpreter committee explanations.
8)Consultation & Legal Committee:
If you refer to the holy Koran, shora surah, uerse 38 you will fined the emphasis on the consultation from the point of view of Islam & holy Koran.
If you also refer to the stories, you'll notice that the groups who had used the consultation, so they had be came victorious.
According to the above menrioned explanations, the I.S.D.P.F. determined to establish the consultation committee by the presence of experienced counselors & legal adviser who are familiar with SL in order to slove counselors & legal adviser who are familiar with Sl in order to slove deaf's problems with the easy communication of SL & deaf's language.
9)Religious & Charity Affairs Committee:
Since we live in the Islamic country & on the other hand due to the hearing problems and barriers of deaf people, so they are not familiar with the religious matters as well as hearing people.
So the ISDPF determined  to establish the religious committee in order to introduce deaf people with people with the religious matters through SL.
Due to this matter, the society always try to hold the special ceremonies or mourning ceremonies depand on the religious days such as feasts or our religious leader's martyrdom or birthdays in order to familiar them with religious customs.
The duty of charity affairs com. is serving to those needy people who can not earn their livelihood.
So the society gathers the monetary & non_monetary supports from charitable persons and deliver them to the needy people in order to eliminate a little of their problems.
Also the society has a religious board that they cooperate with all deafs in religious affairs.
10)Ladies Committee:
Every woman has her place & esteem in all countries.
As you know the most responsibility of life & leading the family is undertaken with women.
So the society determined to familiarize the deaf ladies with special matters by the establishment of ladies committee.
The above mentioned Com. is cooperating with charity affairs The programms of ladies Com. is consist of as below:

• Training of Holy Koran (Elementary to Advanced)
• Interpreting of Holy Koran through recitation of Koranic stories (the story of Prophets & Imams)
• Psychology Instruction
• The instruction of religious commandments
• Instruction of hygienics

11)Elders Committee:
The programs & goals of Elder's Com. is as the same as the yought com, but the only different is that they are belonged to the elders.
The programs are consist of as below:

• The special recreative camp for just elders & adults
• Delivering the information about the special services which are allocated to adults or elder people like as Manzelat (Altitude) card. Establishment the  special games of elders  such as chess & etc.
• Solving the life's challenges of couples through the family psychologist.

12)Health  &  Medic  Committee:
As you know the healthiness is the greatest blessing that our merciful God has bestowed upon us.
When a person becomes sick, he/she will notice of the health value.
So from the old times the man always emphasized on the healthiness & the prevention methods from malady.
According to that important matter & on the other hand for increasing the knowledge level of deaf people in the health & medic field, the society had established the above mentioned Committee.
The programs of the mentioned Com. is composed of:
The didactic programs for prevention of deafness, Genetic consultation, nutrition, addiction & its related effects & etc.
